the Michael Kors booties

For Christmas, my boyfriend bought me a pair of Michael Kors lace-up booties and I am completely in love with them. Like 'I never want to wear another pair of shoes' OBSESSED. They are just too perfect, and they seem to go with just about everything in my closet.
Here's a few pics of my Christmas Eve outfit (my bulldog, Buster wanted to take a few pictures too). :)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas Eve!

My apologies.

So...I havent been posting very frequently (if at all!) and I am terribly sorry about that. Long story short, school is super busy and I've had mono for a little over a month. Safe to say I'm just a little bit tired...haha.

Anyways, I've seem to kept up to date on my lookbook as well as my chictopia, so take a look there until I come up with the energy to produce an inspiration-y/what I'm obsessed with right now post.

Now, the long anticipated post about my F.I.D.M visit. At the end of June, I visited the L.A campus of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise with my mom. While I was there, I participated in the "3 days of fashion workshops" which including touring the campus, being part of a talk group, meeting numerous teachers, designing, creating, and living the life of a fashion student. As hard as I'll try to describe it, words really can not describe my experience. It was beyond amazing and never before have I felt like I belong somewhere more than I did there. Going into the program, I had NO idea what I was wanted to do in the fashion industry or whether I really wanted to pursue my dream into the business, but after my experiences, I know I'll end up going to F.I.D.M and having a future with fashion. Now that I've experienced marketing, draping, drawing, and all the other majors, I feel like visual communications is the major for me. If I pursue this aspect of the industry, I'll have an opportunity to become a personal or store front stylist, which has always been my dream. If any of you are at all interested in fashion, I HIGHLY recommend doing this program...it completely changed my life and it was overall very impressive. On a side note, my mom LOVED the campus!

Of course, while I was there I met some extremely nice and fashionable people (shout out to Victoria, Lexi and Oliver!) and explored around L.A for the first time. I went to Rodeo Drive (HEAVEN) as well as Venice Beach (the vintage shops on the boardwalk are to die for...like actually). I also met Nick Verreos (my idol), a F.I.D.M graduate/teacher as well as a past contestant on Project Runway and Clinton Kelly's assistant (who probably has the most fabulous life ever).

All in all, this was an amazing trip...I would easily do it again next summer! Let me know if you have any questions about my experience!
XOXO

Wildfox 2011 fall line

Ok, I am so in love with the fall 2011 collection for Wildfox. I am so excited to get my hands on the "I left my heart at woodstock" cropped fringe, the peace shirt, and the american flag pullover. The 1970's rocker vibe has such a cool hippie feel to it and Kimberley Gordon and Emily Faulstich of Wildfox executed their idea perfectly. On a side note: I would really really like those velvet bell bottoms. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
