Today, the weather was off-the charts bipolar...one minute it was sunny and blue skies and the next minute it was a torrential down pour with monsoon like winds. With weather like this, I get confused as to what to wear to school, especially since I have an outdoor campus. But, have no fear because I have found a way to successfully layer and you can too! The trick is to layer fabrics, lengths and colors.  That way, you are always the perfect temperature while still looking effortless chic. One of my favorite tricks is always bringing a scarf to add a little more detail to every outfit.

November inspiration

I hate to do this...but college apps have completely taken over my life.  Until December 1st, I am going slightly MIA, but don't worry, I'll be back! For now, here is some November inspiration.

mandatory leather vest post

My love for this leather vest is like my love for food; infinite.  It is absolutely perfect and I know I use this to justify everything I've ever bought, but it is meant to be.  At first I thought I would be spending my money on a jacket (more reasonable, right?) but no no no! For a layering freak, a vest is PERFECT.  I can fit all my layers and still avoid feeling claustrophobic.  Although the price tag was not a cute one, wearing it almost every day makes me feel better about the amount I spent on it.  Basically I'm obsessed with this vest and I hope you are too.

I just pulled a Miley

I never thought I would be writing a blog post about this...but I just cut my hair.  And it wasn't just a little "trim," I chopped off 10 whole inches for Locks of Love.  I also never thought that I would say this...but I think I like it better shorter than when it was long.  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved my hippie hair but enough was enough.  My ends were dead and no matter how many hair growth pills I was taking (3/day to be exact) or how much moroccan oil I was spritzing into my locks, it was not getting any better.  So I grew a set and got it cut.  Plus, donating it to a great charity made me feel even better about it.  I've currently been updating my wardrobe to an edgier look (don't worry, the hippie is still in me) so that's been pretty fun.  Also, there's just something so liberating about cutting hair.  This sounds corny, but I feel like a new person and I am loving it soooo much.

Lunchbox Laboratory outfit post

Here's what I ate and what I wore today! For all the Bellevue-locals, you need to try Lunchbox Laboratory if you have not yet.  By far the one of the best burgers I have ever had.  Doesn't quite beat Triple X, but honestly, what does?

Rainbow sweater can do no wrong

I am really really really in love with this rainbow sweater.  It's absolutely perfect and I don't know how I even got dressed before without it.  If you love colors and cropped sweaters as much as me, you need to get yourself to Aritzia fast and purchase this before their sale is over!
